Superbloom near Globe, AZ

Over the last year, the U.S. has had some bizarre weather. There was widespread heavy precipitation that caused flooding and winter storms that grounded planes. I personally haven't seen as much snow in the mountains of Arizona in about 10 years. When this type of thing happens, it is common to find superblooms the following spring. This spring, most people had their eyes on California (and I get it, I used to live there, it has freakin' gorgeous flowers), but many of the high desert regions of Arizona were alive with intense color as well.

Below are some images I took near Globe, AZ. Whenever my wife and I hike through superbloom areas, we always comment to each other that it's like color therapy. Sometimes it's so vivid it's overwhelming. Enjoy:)

Incredible - are the colors somehow enhanced? Special moments, thanks for sharing these special photos.

I know, the colors are bonkers, right? I adjusted the exposure a little, just the lights and darks, but I didn't touch the color:) That's just how they happened in nature. It's wild!
